The Decisive Criterion Between The Friends Of Allah And The Friends Of Shaytan

Shaykhul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 728H)
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 415 | Size: 23 MB

Indeed the enmity between man and Shaytan is old, commencing from the time that Adam (alayhi as-salam) was created – from the time that he was ordered to prostrate to him. Shaytan refused, became arrogant and hence disobeyed His Lord. His arrogance and pride led him to commit a whole host of sins, it made him expend every effort in misleading the children of Adam and made him beautify and embellish sins such that they accepted them and eagerly committed them. Due to this, Allah, the Exalted, revealed the books, sent the messengers and enjoined his servants to various injunctions and admonitions in order to secure them from the evil of Shaytan. In the light of his advice, profound injunctions and severe warnings, mankind became separated into two groups: a group who were guided and a group who deserved to be misguided. The group who were guided are the inhabitants of Paradise and the group who were misguided are the denizens of the Fire. The inhabitants of Paradise are the Awliya of the Most Merciful and the denizens of the Fire are the awliya of Shaytan.

Whoever takes Shaytan as an ally instead of Allah has certainly sustained a clear loss. [An-Nisa] (4): 119]

Presented to the reader is the book [al-Furqan bayna Awliya ar-Rahman wa awliya ash-Shaytan] at a time in which Shaytan has overcome the majority of mankind and knowledge of the differences between the Awliya] of the Most Merciful and the awliya of Shaytan is seldom found.’ In it, the author explained, in detail, the most important differences between the two categories of awliya, tackling the subject from various different angles and thoroughly refuting those who have gone astray in this matter. he discussed the issue of miracles and furnished the principles he laid out with examples of miracles performed by both groups of the awliya. Furthermore, he clarified some of the most important aspects of the muslim belief, in all of this depending entirely upon the book, Sunnah and understanding of the Salaf, may Allah have mercy upon him and reward him well.

Shaykhu’l Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 728H) was a leading Muslim scholar in the history of Islam and a Mujtahid in his own right. His breath of learning and depth of understanding was accepted by all of his peers and many of his biographers stated that he clearly suppressed the vast majority, if not all of the scholars of his time. He was a prolific writer and skilled orator. He was deeply religious and unwavering in his adherence to Islam and the Sunnah and repudiating all those that opposed it.

How Would The Earth Look Like Without Water?

Islam is a universal message to all of humankind and for all times, until the Day of Judgement, whereas every other prophet was sent to his own people, and for a limited time period. Prophet Jesus’ mission was limited to the ‘lost sheep of the house of Israel’. Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent for everyone: male or female, rich or poor, Arab or non-Arab, slave or freeborn. Islam can be practiced anywhere on the earth; it is not tied to locality or culture. So, if you are not from the tribes of Israel (the descendants of the twelve sons of Prophet Jacob) as in the case of Indians, Asians, Africans, indigenous peoples and Europeans, and you are a Christian, then you are following a prophet (Jesus) and a message which was not meant for you. This means you are not on the right track!

Every person should revert to Islam because it is the birthright of every person and the original print on every human soul when he or she was born.

Every person should revert to Islam because Allah has sealed and superseded all previous messages with Islam. Allah has mentioned to all people in the Qur’an: {…This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favour upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion…} (Qur’an 5: 3)

Every person should revert to Islam because people in every age must worship their Lord (Allah) according to the law prescribed by Him as revealed to His Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him). The tribes of Israel, for example, were ordered to worship Allah according to the Law of Moses. When Prophet Jesus was sent to them, they were ordered to worship Allah according to what was prescribed in the Gospel. Then when Allah sent Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) with the message of Islam to all people, it became incumbent on all people, the tribes of Israel and all others, to enter Islam.

After all, what could be more serious than the rejection of the religion which the Creator and Sustainer of everything has enjoined upon all people? Indeed, this is the greatest injustice committed by human beings. It is sad but true that if a person dies in this state, he or she will be punished and cast into the hellfire to live there for eternity. This concept has been emphasized hundreds of times in the Qur’an and in the statements of Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him). Allah has mentioned in the Qur’an:

{And whoever desires other than Islam as religion – never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the hereafter, will be among the losers.} (Qur’an 3: 85)

Also, Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) said:

<<Whoever among the Christians and Jews hears of me and does not follow what I have brought, and dies in this state will be among the inhabitants of hellfire.>> (Muslim)

The miraculous nature of the Qur’an lies in the knowledge it contains and this is an everlasting, renewable and a living proof. The Qur’an was given to mankind more than fourteen centuries ago. Recent advancements in various sciences have revealed innumerable facts. None of these discoveries contradict a single verse of the Qur’an. In fact, each time the world makes a breakthrough in unraveling the universe, we increase in certainty that the One who created this universe is the One who revealed the Qur’an.
It is filled with important facts which were revealed at a point in human history when no man could possibly have known them. The Qur’an speaks about the origins of the universe, workings of celestial bodies, stages of embryonic human development, behavioral patterns of species, historical and archaeological truths, etc.
The Qur’an contains over 6,000 Ayat [verses] with over 70,000 words, yet it is a fact that not a single word, phrase, sentence or topic needs to be revised. It is also the case that a writer usually has knowledge of a specific subject or a few related subjects. For example, one can write about history or economics or philosophy or physics etc. But it is not possible for a human being to write simultaneously on a great variety of different subjects with such in-depth and accurate information. Even a casual reader finds that the Qur’an discusses an array of subjects with the accuracy and precision to make them appear to be the observations of an eye witness expert.

Countless Blessings of Allah

وَاِنْ تَعُدُّوْا نِعْمَتَ اللّٰهِ لَا تُحْصُوْهَا
And if you count the Blessings of Allah, never will you be able to count them.
اور اگر تم اللہ کی نعمتیں گننا چاہو تو کبھی بھی شمار نہ کر سکو گے۔

Anwar Al-Awlaki
Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 32 | Size: 1 MB
This book is extremely close to a word-by-word transcription of Imam Anwar al-Awlaki’s lecture. I have chosen to take out or add a few words – and not more than that – to smoothen the flow for the reader. I’ve also added many footnotes along the way to explain words, sentences, backgrounds, and adding daleel to what the speaker is saying. As you know and will find out in greater detail that this subject is one of extreme importance; so the footnotes, I felt, were absolutely necessary to further expand on the words of the speaker.

[Al-Uboodiyah] Being A True Slave Of Allah (SWT)

[Al-Uboodiyah]
Being A True
Slave Of Allah (SWT)
Or

Ibn Taymiyyah

Language: English | Format: PDF | Pages: 82 | Size: 1 MB

Part Two of the Towards Islamic Psychology series, (Part 1: Patience and Gratitude), is a planned series of books which, drawing on the Islamic scholarly heritage, will offer practical advice rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, to address many psychological woes of our modern age. Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah defines the concept of worship in Islam and explains that to be a true “slave of Allah” is a status of both virtue and nobility. The title “slave of Allaah” is one of great honor which Allah bestowed upon the best of creation, Muhammad (SAW). Ibn Taymiyyah  highlights the prevalent traps which people fall into, when becoming enslaved by, or allowing their hearts to become attached to worldly objects. The emphasis is on servitude to Allah which is adorned with the true love we hold for Him in our hearts — a matter of central importance for every Muslim.
Highly Recommended for the young blooded who Want to Run before they can Walk and even the Old timers ‘Who sometimes are  so comfortable Walking that they have forgotten that there is sometimes a need to run’ in the Path Towards Allah.
